About Talia Agler Girls Shelter (TAGS)
The Talia Agler Girls Shelter (TAGS) is a Charitable Children’s Institution established in 2012 by the Centre for Domestic Training and Development (CDTD) to provide safety, healing, and structured support for girls and young women who have survived human trafficking, sexual abuse, child labour, domestic violence, and forced migration. Registered under the Children’s Act of 2001, TAGS offers a safe haven and a continuum of protection and reintegration services to survivors from Kenya and across the East African region.
A key component of TAGS is the TAGS Education Fund, created to ensure survivors can access education and skills training as part of their recovery and long-term empowerment. The fund enables girls who have missed out on schooling due to abuse and exploitation to re-enter education, pursue vocational training, and rebuild their futures with dignity and opportunity.
