Child Labour

Eradicating Child Labour & Providing Holistic Support

CDTD is committed to eradicating child labour and providing comprehensive support to survivors of child labour, including survivors of abuse and exploitation, children on the move, child-headed families, children from across the border, unaccompanied minors, and child labourers. We believe every child has the right to a safe, nurturing, and opportunity-filled childhood. Through this pillar, we work to end exploitative child labour and ensure children receive the care, resources, and guidance they need to rebuild their lives and reach their full potential.

Shelter Services:

The Talia Agler Girls Shelter (TAGS) is a Charitable Children’s Institution established in 2012 by the Centre for Domestic Training and Development (CDTD). TAGS provides safety, care, and holistic support to girls and young women who are survivors of human trafficking, sexual abuse, child labour, domestic violence, forced migration, and other forms of exploitation. The shelter serves survivors from Kenya, across the East African region, and beyond.

The TAGS Education Fund was created to ensure survivors have access to educational sponsorships and skills training. Since 2013, the fund has supported hundreds of girls and young women to pursue formal education and vocational skills, equipping them with opportunities for survival, independence, and long-term economic empowerment.
