Dr. Muthee holds a PhD in Agricultural/Natural Resources Economics and has 36 years of relevant experience. He is currently a private consultant and woks for various organizations i.e., Government of Kenya and Parastatals, International NGOS (CARE, World Vision, Oxfam) and international/regional bilateral and unilateral organizations (World Bank, Food and Agricultural organization, US-Aid for International Development, UN-Economic Commission for Africa, UKaid, COMESA, IGAD and African Development Bank among others.
Edith holds a BEd degree from Kenyatta University where she graduated in 1992. A teacher by profession, Edith worked in the private sector before founding CDTD. In 2000, using personal savings, Edith started empowering domestic workers from her private house where she equipped them with homecare management skills in housekeeping, cookery and childcare. By 2006 Edith started rescuing girl child domestic workers and other girls in need of care and protection. Locally and abroad, Edith is known as an advocate for girl child and women empowerment and has vast experience formulating initiatives for gender equality. As the Executive Director of CDTD, Edith’s portfolio includes fundraising and program co-ordination.
Catherine Maina is a Certified Public Accountant (K) having qualified from Strathmore University in Kenya. Over the years Catherine has worked with both Companies and NGO clients where she has gained a total of nineteen years audit experience providing services to both donor Funded Projects and corporate clients. Currently, Catherine works as an Auditor at Kang’ethe & Associates Audit Firm where she is also a finance partner in charge of the day to day management of the company in addition to managing the company’s broad clientele which is diverse and has equally unique needs and expectations. Catherine is highly computer literate and has advised and helped set up computer based accounting systems and controls for many clients.
Rev. Joyce Mworia is an alumni of Alliance Girls High School and is currently undertaking her PhD studies at Kenyatta University in Early Childhood Education Development. Joyce has an MA in Developmental Studies from St. Paul’s University in Limuru. For the past 20 years, she has been working with the Methodist church in Kenya, undertaking pastoral work for the church and is currently serving as a coordinator for Boys and Girls brigades. Joyce is a qualified Training of Trainers (TOT) professional having undergone extensive training in this area and is involved in training activities in her organization.
Lisa Kanyingi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Daystar University and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Project Management. For the past five years, she has built a strong career in Leadership, Communications, NGO documentary production, Social media management, and Digital content creation. As Principal of the East African Institute of Homecare Management, Lisa leads the institute’s daily operations and provides strategic guidance to staff, trainers, and students. She is passionate about youth empowerment and ensures that EAIHM’s programs equip young people with practical skills for employment and personal growth. Her creativity, leadership, and commitment to excellence continue to drive the institute’s vision forward.
