Scovia is back to school!

Following the BBC documentary, 'The Hidden Lives of 'Housegirls' that was released on 19th May 2019, Scovia received support through OWCF online giving platform to stay in school. The seventeen year old had left her home in Uganda in search of a better life in Nairobi working as a housegirl / domestic worker. Her ambition was cut short by the police who caught her without an identification card or visa to allow her to work in Kenya. They referred her to the safe hands of Talia Agler Girls Shelter as a rescue case. At the moment, we are pleased to inform you that Scovia was enrolled in a school close to her village where she continues to pursue a better future through education. Months into her successful reintegration, Scovia has settled in the school and is already recording impressive results.
